Question: Why’d you call the label trapstar
Answer: The name Trapstar is short for trapped-star, which meaning is to release the hidden talent within you (which is the star) and overcome the so called impossible. And we think that everyone has a hidden talent (star), it’s just up to you if you want to find it and use it. And we hope to attract those who do.
Question: What’s the manifesto behind Trapstar and the way you distribute it?
Answer:Trapstar sell a limited amount of product to a limited amount of people, which are members other wise known as trappies. We sell our product personally through or database or at after hour instore events which are called invasions the location changes each time and you can only find out where the location is through our website or word of mouth. Even the packaging is disguised in pizza boxes for t-shirts and a washing up detergent for sweaters and jackets
Question: why so secret?
Answer: The reason why we say “it’s a secret is”, is because we’re trying to hide ourselves from the mass market trend seeking clones trying to jump on any old bandwagon, and in order to remain true to the underground we must remain elusive as possible.
Question: Why did yo decide to make a street wear label
Answer: We’ve all been into streetwear since we we’re old enough to dress ourselves. But some how we felt like misfits to what we can get from what we wanted And due to the monotony of what already was out there lead us to make clothing for ourselves for personal use. Some how it caught outside intrest which lead to developing and producing a whole range of products. We generally make what we would want to wear ourselves rather than follow trends for the fast buck.

Question: Influeces, labels and tracks…
Answer: Trapstar’s influences right now range from computer consoles to tower block memories . We admire Roy licthenstein pop art, b0130 and microbo graffiti. Takashi murakami illustrations (we’re a big fan of his) they way he had people going crazy for his LV cherry bag was amazing. I also respect Louis v to the up most, they’re the ultimate super brand But you can’t forget about nike air jordan series coco cola. We’re crazy about N.W.A (when they was all group, that is), we respect the sex pistols we love the english youthful anarchy with two spoons full of O.G.. Weazle is going through a prince phase right now everything is about purple rain.
